A Buddy in Need

This handsome Cocker named Buddy’s mom is an elderly woman with apparently no family around.  She ended up in the hospital and animal control was asked to get him.  After animal control picked him up and held him for awhile, they contacted SCCR and asked us if we could find him a new home, as his owner would not be able to care for him any longer. Thanks go out to the Placer County Animal Services for carrying about the well-being of Buddy and getting in contact with SCCR.

Buddy has a great disposition and seems to be friendly with everyone he meets. He previously lived with a cat and chickens.  He is doing great at his new foster home with his doggie roommates.  As his foster mom says, he doesn’t act 13 yrs old, as claimed by the shelter.  He is very playful, and made her play ball with him for 1 1/2 hrs last night.  His current foster home is in Stockton, CA.

Buddy was a mess, and needed grooming.  He will need to be checked out at the vet and will definitely need dental work done. We are able to keep rescuing the young, old and in need because of donations, large and small. Can you help with Buddy?
