This little girl has been through a lot recently. In the last 4 months, poor Honey Boo Boo went from having a happy home of 10 years, to being abandoned at the groomer’s with her brother Luke.
Luke was adopted right away, but Honey was not, because people thought she was too old. Second Chance Cocker Rescue could not say no to rescuing sweet Honey. She was adopted to a nice lady, who also had an English Setter. Sadly, a month ago, Honey’s new owner committed suicide, and both dogs were taken to the CCSPCA shelter.
Several volunteers kept in constant contact, and waited patiently until the dogs were

released. Finally, we got the call that Honey Boo Boo would be released and we needed to come ASAP. Needless to say, Honey’s fate was finally decided. A wonderful foster family rushed to the shelter and picked her up! Her adopted brother, Billy, went to a rescue for Setters.
After all that Honey had endured, she finally ended up in a loving, happy home that she so deserved. SCCR actually gave Honey her third chance. They say the third time’s a charm, right? Congratulations to the Sharp family on your new addition. We wish you many happy years together. Be happy, sweet Honey!
So that SCCR can continue to support other dogs in need, especially seniors like Honey, we need your support. Every dollar helps! We never want to see a dog rejected because they are deemed “too old.”
