Dodger Hits a Home Run!
This poor guy was turned in by his owners last week as a “euth request.” Fortunately, the shelter did not deem him a candidate. An amazing woman got him out of the shelter, and is taking care of him. SCCR has offered to make him one of our Sanctuary Dogs.
Meet Dodger. He is a purebred, black, 14 year, adorable, sweet old guy.
Dodger needs to get some meat put back on his bones; he’s really, really skinny. The family that dumped him said he was incontinent. His left eye is completely white with a caratact. His teeth are in terrible condition. His nails are overgrown, and his ears are smelly and matted. He hasn’t been taken care of in a very long time.
Dodger will be visiting our vet to see what needs to be done.
We are able to help dogs like Dodger, who may get passed up on because of their age, thanks to our supporters. We are also able to provide medical care for these dogs for their entire lives through our Sanctuary Program. Any donations you can provide, large or small are so appreciated. Dodger is already wagging his tail with gratitude!
Just as our Los Angeles Dodgers are having a winning season, it looks like this sweet boy named Dodger will too!
