Saving lives one dog at a time.
Sweet Freckley, suffered a tragic accident, and Second Chance Cocker Rescue came to her rescue! She damaged a disk and can’t currently walk.
The vet believes she will walk again, with rehab and our usual brand of TLC. The SFSPCA is sending her home with a stroller, which she loves to go for walks in. The vet also removed a cancerous tumor on her nose and gave her a skin graft to cover the spot, so the other dogs wouldn’t make fun of her. What a trooper she is!
SFSPCA performed a CT on Freckley. Right now, the update, is that she is making improvements with walking and rest. The good news is, as of last week, Freckley was sitting up on her own! The neurologist says no PT for the time being, just rest.
This is great news and will certainly make it a lot easier to find a foster and eventually, Freckley’s forever family.
As with all of our precious babies, we will do anything possible, to get them healthy, happy and give them the best lives possible.
As always, any donations toward Freckley’s medical expenses are much appreciated!
How old is she and where is she located?
She is about 6 years old and currently in Romoland CA
