Our Sanctuary Seniors Need You

❤️ Cosmo, Bochy, and Mimi are three senior cockers who have come into our care recently. All three are 12 years or older, and each has medical needs that make finding a traditional adoptive home difficult.

That’s why we created our Sanctuary Program.

Our Sanctuary Program provides permanent foster homes for senior and medically fragile dogs who may otherwise have nowhere to go. Their sanctuary families provide the love, comfort, and home they deserve for the rest of their lives — and we cover their medical expenses.

But we can only do this because of our incredible monthly donors. ❤️

Our monthly supporters make it possible for us to say yes to seniors who need us most. They allow us to rescue more dogs, provide the medical care they need, and give these deserving old souls an excellent life filled with love, dignity, and comfort.

Our monthly donors are absolutely critical to the work we do, and we are so grateful for their trust and support.

🐾 Meet Our New Three Seniors

Cosmo is a 12+ year-old spaniel mix with some awful, awful teeth and severe arthritis in his back end. He will need pain medication and anti-inflammatories for the rest of his life. But despite everything he has been through, Cosmo is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. ❤️

Mimi is a darling little girl who has found her sanctuary home with one of our favorite people, Sandra. This Bakersfield girl is 13+ and doesn’t ask for much — just a little trot down the block, a cozy home, and a good nap in the sunshine.

Bochy is our newest senior boy. He is 12+ and coming to us from Salinas Shelter this weekend. His shelter paperwork indicates some significant medical issues, so he’ll be heading straight to the vet ASAP. We’re ready to give him the care he needs and, most importantly, a safe place to call home. ❤️

These dogs are why our Sanctuary Program exists.

Please consider joining us and being part of the solution. Become a monthly donor and help us continue saving senior lives, one dog at a time.

Your monthly gift can mean the difference between a senior being overlooked and a senior getting the second chance they deserve.
