Curly Girl Pupdate

Sleepy Curly

Curly is an unique character. This little girl is just so super sweet and cuddly. She hates to have you out of sight and needs tons of attention. Curly is ready for her furever family!

Curly is an adorable and sweet little girl who we think is a cavalier/cocker mix. She is only about 18 pounds and approximately 8 years old.

Curly came to us from the Las Vegas shelter with several issues. First, she was not spayed and had 4 mammary tumors that needed to be removed. She also has a significant heart murmur (4-5/6) so we did an x-ray to see size of her heart and it is enlarged. She also had a cough which we knew was not kennel cough. Unfortunately, this means she will eventually go into congestive heart failure. That is not saying that she will drop dead in the near future. She probably has several good years ahead of her. The good news is that we started her on heart medications (2 different ones) and her cough is already 100% better, barely even coughing at all.

She also had a mass removed from her the top of her head and had a dental. This girl got the works! No extractions and still waiting for the results of the biopsy of the mammary tumors. We ran bloodwork and urinalysis on her and both were perfect. She has typical cocker ears that need to be cleaned on a regular basis (came with ear infection). Eyes are a little cloudy, but she gets around great and appears to see just fine.

She does great with other dogs…..does not want to play with them, but happily and easily cohabitates with them. She has anxiety issues, including separation anxiety. She must be with someone at every moment and craves human attention above all else.

She is very cuddly and loves to snuggle on the couch. She snores like a bear. She has mastered doggie door too!

The perfect home for curly would be a house with a stay at home family. Her family also needs to be prepared for a lifetime of heart meds. We know that Curly will be a treasure for any family.

Curly is currently in Romoland and is looking for a home where someone is around a lot.

Please fill out an application if you are interested in giving her a furever home.
