Marty is a little red cocker mix who probably also has some doxi in him as he is long and a bit low, but very cute. We recently got him from the OC shelter and he had his initial exam today.
His health isn’t too bad for a 10 year old. He is not neutered and has significantly bad breath, so a dental and neuter are scheduled for next week. He also barely eats and is bone thin, so he is getting spoiled with his very own chicken dinner.
Marty is completely 100% blind and somewhat disoriented. He is anxious right now, but it’s hard for blind dogs to acclimate sometimes. Right now he is pacing and going in circles. We are working with him to help him feel comfortable and more confident. Right now it seems that being in smaller spaces and having someone near him helps. He is a very nice little boy who just needs a little extra TLC.
