Saving lives one dog at a time.
Remember Yodi? He was featured in our April blog. Yodi was partially paralyzed, as the result of an accident. He does not have full control of his body, and drags himself around by his front legs. This caused a badly infected, open sore on his tushie. Yodi was given a doggie wheel chair to help him be more mobile and eliminate the need to drag himself around. He maneuvers around really well with it.
Yodi attended the SCCR Castro Valley picnic on June 19, to meet and greet everyone. His tail never stopped wagging. His little tushie is all healed up and the hair is growing back. Yodi is a champ in his cart. When he uses the cart, Yodi can happily wag his tail and both back legs move. He is getting stronger and stronger every day.
Yodi’s foster mom, Lynn, had this to say about his progress: “Yodi Boo Bodi is a fabulous little lover of a dog! He loves snuggling up on the couch with his older sister Buffy (who doesn’t know she is blind). He will scoot around on his bottom wherever she goes!!!! I don’t think Yodi has ever met a person or creature that he doesn’t like! Judy’s friend drops by with her two dogs, and his Cocker cousins stop by as well, and soon Yodi will be carting to their house. (Up a hill!).”
We would love for Yodi to regain the full use of his back legs. For this to happen, he will need continued physical therapy. Can you help financially, and make this little guy’s dream come true? All donations are much appreciated from SCCR and especially Yodi, who can’t wait for the day when he can run around on all fours.
