Saving lives one dog at a time.
This is Esther renamed Sara by her dad of the past few months. She came to us from a public shelter and was literally a bag of bones. We thought there was little chance of adoption. As miracles will happen she met Dave, a senior gentleman who was very lonely before welcoming Esther into his home. She is in our Sanctuary program which means we are responsible for her medical care. She, accompanied by her constant companion Dave, went to the vet. for a checkup and dental cleaning. We all agreed it was a good time to remove her long-exisiting mammory tumors. Sara is an older girl so she had a difficult time during surgery – she started bleeding out and her heart stopped on the operating table. Fortunately, the vet was able to start her heart again. She is recuperating at home in Dave’s loving care. We are sure hoping that Sara pulls through just fine. Her medical expenses were over $1,600.
