PAISLEY

We rescued this sweet old boy after his humans dumped him at the same shelter they had adopted him from. They adopted him when he was two years old, and ten years later returned him. This kind of behavior just breaks our hearts. The owners called him Prince, but sure didn’t treat him like a Prince. We renamed him Paisley because we want him to forget his past life. It’s confusing for the dog and he is now 12 years old and dogs often withdraw when they are left like that. This teddy bear of a boy is adorable. He never barks, never questions anything. He is just happy to have a warm snuggly bed, food and a human to pet him and tell him what a good boy he is. He needs to know he is still worthy and loved and we are happy to do that! He is a typical older cocker….vision is slightly compromised but he can see fine, his hearing is good but he does need regular ear cleanings. He is currently fighting a upper respiratory infection as well as a urinary track infection. Once he is all better, he will be looking for his permanent home. He has lots of love left to give and is happy to receive any in return. A sweet old boy who will make you a fabulous companion. He is not interested in going for big hikes and such, just relaxing and enjoying his golden years.
