Check out this adorable little muffin. Isn’t she just the cutest! She is approximately 10 weeks old now, but unfortunately has been diagnosed with juvenile cataracts. Yes, this means she will ultimately go blind unless the cataracts are removed. While she is being a normal puppy now and is unfazed by the diagnosis (she is not blind yet) the day will come where she will start to lose vision. There is no telling how quickly that will happen, but it will happen. Of course best case scenario is to have the cataracts removed as soon as possible, but this is also a pretty pricey procedure and it is both eyes. She is otherwise a healthy, playful and adorable little girl. We are in a dilemma now, as we want to provide the best possible outcome for this girl but the procedure for both eyes is significant. Fortunately we have the option of doing one eye at a time and this is not a life threatening situation. She will also need a foster home as soon as we get her, as our place in Jamestown is no place for a baby girl like her. So, we ask our rescue family to once again help us out! If you can donate anything to help offset the expense, or if you are willing to foster or adopt, that would be awesome. As a possible foster or adopter, please be advised she is a typical puppy! Not going to be well housebroken, has those little piranha teeth and needle sharp nails. She will want to play with other dogs in the home, so if have a older, pretty chill senior, it probably wouldn’t be the best for either dog. Anyone out there who can help us with her?
