This beauty is Willow! We recently got her from the shelter where they aged her at 10 years old. Now, as many of you know, shelters give an approximate age to dogs typically based on their teeth and their eyes. Willow’s teeth are horrible and she has ulcers on her cheeks and gums from the tartar and possible fissulas that have broken thru into her sinus cavity. Not good, but it can also mean she has had a lifetime of dental neglect. She is also unspayed, so veterinary care was not first and foremost for her. When she came into the shelter her ears were also nasty infected, but do not appear to have scar tissue damage! She doesn’t look 10 years old, nor does she act it. This red beauty is only about 20 pounds and has her full tail. She is absolutely delightful. She will be having her initial assessment, then spay and dental and then she will be ready to find her forever home. She is good with other dogs and likes to play. If you can help us with any of her medical expenses that would be appreciated. Feel free to get your application in on her and she will be ready soon. You won’t be sorry.
