A Crazy Week

We have had an interesting week with not one, but two found cockers in Stockton-One girl and one boy! There were not found together, so not likely they were dumped together but they both need our help.

Our girl, Olive, is already in foster. We featured her the other day on f/b looking for a foster, so you got the sneak peek at her. One of her ears is nasty infected, she needs to be spayed, vaccinated, all the stuff need to be done. She is a beautiful girl and even likes cats! She was found at an industrial dump site just waiting and hoping someone would come along and save her. She was adopted by someone on our wait list.

Our boy, Sonny, is a little tri colored one who is in bad shape. He is horribly matted and scared to death. He went to the groomer and looks very handsome now. He was spotted, we were contacted and it took a bit to catch him, but our volunteer was finally successful. He is still fearful, but with time he will come out of it. It’s hard to tell if he was out on his own for a long time but the condition of his coat makes us think he probably was. Dogs that are left behind like this and have to fend for themselves, can develop a serious fear of humans. They want to come to you, but are too scared. But he is already coming around with our volunteer. We will have more info on him in the coming week, but is also going to need to the works done on him.

Both will need some bloodwork, probably de-worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering etc. If you can help us at all with these abandoned dogs we would sure appreciate it.

If you would like to contribute to Olive and Sonny’s care we sure would appreciate it; please use the following link: https://www.pledge.to/medical-costs or Text SCCR-MEDICAL-COSTS to 707070 to donate Thank you in advance.
